Bryant W Nolden Executive Director Friends of Berston Field House. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio and a Master of Public Administration in Education Leadership, graduating with honors from the University of Michigan-Flint. He is the proud product of Flint Community Schools, graduating from Flint Central High School in 1983. He was a teacher with the Flint Community Schools from February, 1992 to June, 2014.
Bryant was 3rd Ward Councilman with the City of Flint where he served as the Major Grants Chair and Vice President of the City Council for two years. Bryant was elected 1st District County Commissioner on November 4, 2014, and reelected November of 2016. 2018 and 2020 to the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, he also sits on the MTA, Genesee County Land Bank Board, GST Michigan Works, Genesee County Park Commission, Genesee Health Board and also served as the volunteer director at Berston Field House for the seven years, responsible for day-to-day operations. Until being named the Executive Director of the Friends of Berston April 2016.
Bryant, better known as “BB,” is a member of Eureka Lodge No. 16, Saginaw Valley Consistory N. 71 and Oman Temple No 72 Masonic organizations, Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc a member of Foss Ave Baptist Church, serving on the Usher and Youth Boards. He is a divorced father of one daughter and has two wonderful grandchildren. He enjoys playing chess and reading.
People are his joy. He loves working in the community and simply helping wherever he can. His motto is: “Bringing communities together for the betterment of the people.”
